TRG | The Bottom Line – 6/26

TRG throughout June has had the opportunity to get out in the field (literally!) as we continue to pull the string on the reindustrialization and AI/data center build out themes. Last week we braved the TX heat to better understand the role of heavy materials supporting these two scenes. We saw firsthand from ROAD just how much asphalt road construction jobs there are on the east side of Austin, seeing first hand Elon Musk’s current operations and planned expansions. We learned more from a private concrete producer that not all concrete is created alike. He showed us the science behind certain specified concrete that is going straight to data center construction sites. Finally, we were wowed by CRH’s Marble Falls Quarry complex, highlighting how rail connectivity and sheer size enables CRH to provide solutions for a wide variety of infrastructure-related projects. And yes, we often get to do fun things on these trips, including the opportunity to blast rocks!
